The pair was likely to find support at 119.35, Tuesday's low, and resistance at 121.28, today's high.
At the same time, the US dollar rose against the euro and the British Pound, with EUR / USD shedding 1.69% to hit 1.0841 and GBP / USD falling 1.34% to hit 1.5037.
