The pair was likely to find support at 1.5032, today's low, and resistance at 1.5445, Monday's high.
At the same time, the British pound rose against the euro and down against the Japanese Yen, with EUR / GBP shedding 0.33% to hit 0.7212 and GBP / JPY falling 0.78% to hit 181.68.
