Forex Trading : Sterling fell against the US dollar on Tuesday, amid growing expectations of a rate hike in the United States, which contributed to provide support for the dollar on a large scale.
It has GBP / USD to hit 1.5029 during European morning trade, the lowest price for the session, and the pair subsequently consolidated at 1.5052, shedding 0.51%.
Cable was likely to find support at 1.4986, the low of February 3 and resistance at 1.5135, the highest price of the day Monday.
And continued demand for the dollar supported after that released the latest report of the jobs in the United States, expectations of higher interest rates.
It is expected that the Fed starts raising interest rates around the middle of this year, as investors awaited a policy statement to be issued next week to look for indications as to whether the bank will wait before raising interest rates.
