The pair was likely to find support at 0.7748, Tuesday's low, and resistance at 0.7864, Wednesday's high.
At the same time, the Australian dollar rose against the euro and the Japanese Yen, with EUR / AUD shedding 0.20% to hit 1.4144 and AUD / JPY rising 0.09% to hit 93.58.
